The operating method

Do not start with the whole law. Start with the facts of one system.

  1. 01Record

Capture intended use, role, owner and operating facts.

  2. 02Narrow

Propose relevant paths and set irrelevant duties aside.

  3. 03Cite

Keep the reference text, version and unresolved questions.

  4. 04Review

Put a named human at the decision point.

Check supports first-pass categorisation. It does not provide legal advice or make a compliance determination.

Questions buyers ask

What Check does, and where it stops.

The short answers before you put a system into the workflow.
01

Does Check decide whether an AI system complies?

No. Check makes a cited first pass from the facts you record. It narrows the candidate paths and flags open questions. A person reviews the result, and legal conclusions remain with qualified counsel.

02

Is Check only for the EU AI Act?

The first live cartridge is the EU AI Act. Check is built to run more regulatory cartridges, but future coverage is not presented as available today.

03

What do I need to bring?

Bring one AI system and enough non-confidential facts to describe its intended use, your role, its owner and its stage. Do not put evidence packs, credentials or sensitive system data into the first intake.

04

What do I receive?

You receive a working record of the system facts, cited candidate paths and unresolved questions. It is a starting point for review, not a certificate or legal opinion.

05

When should a lawyer be involved?

Use qualified counsel when you need legal interpretation, a formal risk position or sign-off. Check makes the engineering record easier to inspect; it does not replace that judgement.
